How it works
Three steps to send anything. Zero installs, zero accounts, zero servers in the middle.
Open on both devices
Visit Zaami Drop in any modern browser on each device. No installs, no accounts, no setup. Each device instantly gets a unique 6-character room code (e.g. AB3-X7K).
Pair securely
Pick the way that suits you: scan the QR code with your phone, type the peer's room code into the input, or tap a nearby device on the local Wi-Fi Radar. Optionally lock your room with a 4-digit PIN before pairing.
Drop, beam, done
Drag a file, multiple files, or even an entire folder onto the Console. Select what to send in your File Library, hit Send, and watch the live progress. Files travel directly between browsers — they never touch a server.
Built for speed and trust.
Zaami Drop ships a complete peer-to-peer transfer toolkit — from one-tap pairing to end-to-end encrypted self-destructing payloads.
Three ways to pair
Scan QR with the camera, type the 6-char room code, or tap a peer on the local Wi-Fi Radar. All three open the exact same encrypted channel.
PIN-locked rooms (E2EE)
Toggle the lock icon next to your code, set a 4-digit PIN, and every byte that crosses the channel is encrypted with AES-GCM derived from your PIN via PBKDF2. Wrong PIN = no handshake.
Auto-ZIP folders
Drop a folder or several files at once and Zaami Drop bundles them into a single Zaami_Drop.zip archive on the fly, with a live Compressing… overlay. One file dropped alone is sent as-is.
File Library with multi-select
Stage as many files as you like, tick the ones you want to send, and beam them in one shot. Each row shows live per-file progress and a sent confirmation.
Unlimited speed & size
WebRTC data channels with no artificial caps. Files are streamed in chunks so gigabytes flow through without exhausting memory. Speed is limited only by your network.
Ephemeral in-room chat
A chat panel sits next to the File Library while you're paired. Messages are encrypted with the same room key, never persisted, and wipe themselves the moment the connection drops.
Burn After Reading
Toggle the Burn switch before sending. The file is removed from your library the instant it lands successfully on the peer, and the receiver's browser clears it from memory after the auto-download.
Shared clipboard
Send links, snippets, or short notes through the same encrypted channel. The peer sees them appear instantly under Received.
End-to-end by design
When a room is PIN-locked, every byte — file chunks, chat messages, clipboard snippets, even handshake control frames — is sealed with AES-GCM using a key derived from your PIN through 150,000 PBKDF2-SHA256 iterations and a fresh random salt. Zaami Drop never sees your PIN, your key, or your data.
- AES-256-GCM payload encryption
- PBKDF2-SHA256 key derivation
- Fresh IV per frame, fresh salt per room
- No persistence — chat & files vanish on disconnect
